NAED provides both certification and certificate programs. By setting and enforcing standards for certification, the Certified Electrical Professional (CEP) and the Certified Sales Professional (CST) seek to assure the public that those holding the credentials posses the knowledge, skills, and competency for quality in electrical distribution sales. Unlike certificate programs, the CEP and CSP programs are experience based. They are designed to measure an individual's application of knowledge and skills by those with real-life experience in this role. Read more to understand the differences between a Certification versus a Certificate.
Certified Electrical Professional (CEP)
NAED has developed an industry certification for key electrical distribution positions. The certification standardizes and validates baseline knowledge for professionals in the electrical distribution industry. Certification insures credibility and professionalism in the areas of product knowledge, customer service, sales skills, and other skills which elevate electrical distribution above the retail channel.
Certified Sales Professional (CSP)
Take your success as a salesperson to a higher level. NAED is a co-sponsor of the Certified Sales Professional (CSP) Program, along with the Institute for Professional Advancement, the educational subsidiary of the Manufacturers' Representatives Educational Research Foundation.
