Almost five years after the 2008 financial crisis, the global economy finally appears to be emerging from its deep downturn. With the stock market approaching all time highs and the housing market on the rebound, optimism is running high that 2013 will be the year that we see a sustained economic upswing. This presentation will review the four major themes that are driving the economy in 2013 and what it means for the outlook for interest rates, stock markets, and commodities prices.

Keynote: Born to Referee
Jerry Markbreit, Retired Trade and Barter Manager, 3M Company
After officiating football for nine years, Markbreit became a member of the Big Ten Football officiating staff. His most memorable games in the Big Ten include: The 1996 Notre Dame/Michigan State National Championship Game; the 1972 Rose Bowl game between Stanford and Michigan; Six Ohio State and Michigan games, including the 1971 Michigan victory when Woody Hayes stormed the field in his "first national tirade."
Markbreit wrote a weekly football column for the Chicago Sun Times for several years while working college football. In 1973, he wrote The Armchair Referee and followed it with his autobiography in 1988, Born to Referee. He currently writes an internet column for the Chicago Tribune under ChicagoSports.com.

12:30 p.m. - The Brute Course
Join us for the annual West Kinander Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament. All industry members are invited to play in this
traditional 18-hole tournament, regardless of playing ability. The tournament
will be a scramble shotgun start. After the National Anthem we will draw for
the annual Electri-Flex Co. “putting” contest. To participate, pre-registration with
handicap is required.

COST: $45.00 per child…fee includes a 4-hour combination of our Junior Passport Escapades:
Imagination Station: A 2-hour Escapade designed to cultivate creativity in children. Children will have the opportunity to choose from the following activities:
- Design your own hats and T-shirts
- Cupcake or Cookie Decorating
- LEGO Brick Competitions
- Scrap booking
- Along with many other imaginative activities available at Kids Are Grand
Cheeseburgers in Paradise: A 2-hour Escapade in which children will enjoy mini cheeseburgers, chips, and a drink. Participants are also welcomed to participate in Wii competitions, and other recreational activities at Kids Are Grand.
ALL Kids Are Grand childcare programs are designed for children 4 – 12 years of age to give parents freedom to enjoy golf, spa, etc. For children under the age of five, in-room childcare service is available.
Kids Are Grand In-Room Childcare Information
- In-room sitting for children of all ages from 8:00 am to 12:30 am
- 24-Hour Advanced Reservation with 2-hour minimum
- Cost is $20.00/hour for 1-2 children, $5.00/hour for each additional child
- This service can be charged to your room each day
- This service includes age-appropriate activities for each child
- Once the reservation is made, there is a 24-Hour cancellation policy
- Sitters are employees of the Grand Geneva and are bonded with background checks
- Sitters are first aid and CPR Certified

- Substitutions received in writing will be accepted at any time.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received in writing at NAED on or before
May 23, 2013,
will be charged a processing fee of $100 per registrant cancelled. No
refunds will be made for cancellations received after that date. Email

Availability and rates:
Hotel room rate is $192 (USD). Hotel room rates are subject to an 8.5%
tax per room, per night. A deposit equal to one night's stay will be
charged after the room is confirmed. Room reservations must be made by May 23, 2013
to receive the NAED guaranteed rate. Check in time is 4:00 PM and check
out time is 11:00 am. Subject to availability the group rate is
available 3 days prior and 3 days post Lake Michigan Club dates.
Hotel cancellation policy: The deposit is fully refundable if a room is canceled three days or more prior to arrival date. No charge for
making name changes to room reservations.
