NAED Launches New Branch Manager University for Career Development

Resource focuses on advancing tomorrow’s leaders in the electrical distribution industry

ST. LOUIS… The National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) announces the launch of Branch Manager University. This latest comprehensive educational resource focuses on the importance of the role of the branch manager and caters specifically to advancing their success.

Branch Manager University is a portal that provides the tools that branch managers need to run their operations in a profitable manner. Here they will find a skills assessment, training tips, a forum, branch manager curriculums, and a variety of related resources. In order to make Branch Manager University as relevant to the real world as possible, all of the materials were created with the input of actual branch managers who work in the field.

“Branch managers serve in an important capacity on the front lines of our companies,” said Foundation Chair Sandra Rosecrans, president and CEO of City Electric Company, Inc. “From a training standpoint, there is nothing out there as role specific as Branch Manager University. The resources and education it provides is key to helping branch managers thrive now and in the future.”

The different skill areas of branch management have been divided into four categories: Customers, Operations, Financials, and Employees. By strengthening skills in those areas, branch managers will be able to better strategize plans for profitability, growing market share, operational effectiveness and productivity, and maintaining a skilled and accountable staff.
