NAED Names David Maxwell Incoming Western Region Vice President-Elect
ST. LOUIS... The National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) has named David Maxwell, California district vice president for Graybar, the incoming Western Region vice president-elect for 2012-2013.
Maxwell was elected by NAED's Western Region Council to serve as vice president for the 2013-2014 term.
"I am honored to be chosen by my peers as the incoming vice president-elect for the NAED," said Maxwell. "The electrical distribution industry is ever changing, and NAED has kept me informed and connected throughout my career. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and encourage others to do the same in the years to come."
Maxwell brings more than 25 years of industry experience to his role as vice president-elect. He is the recipient of several awards from Graybar and has served on various advisory committees within the company.
Maxwell has served on the NAED's Western Region Council since 2010. He credits the electrical industry with providing a wealth of growth opportunities and enjoys being part of the transformations occurring in the industry.
"Although some people might not consider a career in electrical distribution, the industry serves a vital role, and there are many professional and personal benefits to working in the channel," he said.
As an NAED regional vice president-elect, Maxwell will serve on the NAED Board of Directors, help lead the region's conferences, council meetings, and other events, and participate in NAED's Membership Committee.
The Western Region is currently under the leadership of Andrew Akers, vice president of D & S Electrical Supply Company in Pocatello, Idaho. Beginning in May, David M. Crum, vice president of sales and marketing, Crum Electric Supply, in Casper, Wyo., will take up leadership for 2012-2013, with Maxwell following in 2013-2014.
