A bipartisan bill to expand workforce development opportunities by providing federal tax incentives to businesses that hire apprentices was introduced by Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski. As part of this reintroduction, she is advocating for the bill to be included in the upcoming tax package.

Recently, the bipartisan Credit Incentives for Resilient Critical Utility Infrastructure and Transformers (CIRCUIT) Act was introduced to Congress. This important legislation expands the Advanced Manufacturing Production Credit (45X) to include electric distribution transformers—critical components in meeting growing energy demands. The bill may move forward as part of a reconciliation package or as a stand-alone measure. Either way, if passed, it will help ensure reliable power for homes and businesses nationwide.
