LEARN AUTOMATION AND IMPLEMENTION

This kit of EPEC training consists of online modules, downloadable workbooks, a capstone project and a final exam. EPEC Automation introduces the language of automation, ladder diagrams, inputs, logic and outputs. Students will also learn about solid state controls, PLCs, specialty sensors, PID, and closed loop controllers.

EPEC AUTOMATION: INTRODUCTION

 

This course introduces the processes, training materials and other resources you will need to successfully complete EPEC Automation.

 

MODULE 1: INTRO TO AUTOMATION

 

In this module you will learn about circuit theory, basic automation and the language of automation. 

MODULE 2: BASIC AUTOMATION

 

Upon completion of this module, you will learn basic system functions, operations, automatic control, input signals and decision makers. 

MODULE 3: INTERMEDIATE AUTOMATION

 

Upon completion of this module, you will learn motors, controls, risk, safety, logic options, workload options, distribution and protection. 

MODULE 4: ADVANCED AUTOMATION

 

Upon completion of this module, you will learn advanced inputs, logic, outputs, and convergence of IT and OT networking.

FINAL EXAM

 

Students must score a 75% or higher to demonstrate a solid understanding of the concepts taught throughout the program and move on to the Capstone project.

CAPSTONE: PACKAGE SORTING CONVEYOR LINE

 

This final assignment brings your learning to a focal point, as you apply your ability to understand advanced automation.
