THE 2026 Cross-Industry Compensation & BenefitS SURVEY IS OPEN!

More than 950 distribution companies — representing 10,000 locations — participate!

Open February 3 - March 16, 2026 at
www.compensationbenchmarking.com/NAED

Gain an exclusive level of information about your company’s compensation and benefits, matched with your industry peers and 1,000+ distributors, for executives and over 35 of the most common distributor roles in sales, warehouse, operations, and HR.

There is no cost to participate for NAED distributor members. Participants who complete the survey can select from two different reporting options:

Basic:
Complete the survey and your company will receive a complimentary PDF of the Cross-Industry Compensation & Benefits Industry Report. It features the aggregated results of all participants, alongside comparisons to NAED member responses, for an analysis of key compensation and benefits. It also includes breakouts of roles by sales volumes and regions.

Premium:
This option includes reporting for survey participants who wish to have access to more breakouts and customizable reports. For only $499, your company not only receives the Cross-Industry Compensation & Benefits Industry Report but also the following information via the exclusive online portal:

    • Company-specific Compensation Report: Presents your own compensation and benefit information alongside the appropriate comparatives.
    • Detailed Data Tables (Excel): These tables include every data aggregate compiled in the PDF report included in the Basic option. The Excel file includes salaries and benefits specific to geographic areas such as state-level or MSA-level reporting (when available) and experience levels so you can create the right offers for your new hires.
    • Searchable results: With the application, you can create your own data cuts by combining the aggregates in the Excel Data Tables.

NEW
for 2026: Incumbent-Based Reporting
The 2026 Survey will primarily use an incumbent-based data collection approach. Participating organizations will report compensation data for individual employees matched to standardized-survey job titles, rather than submitting position-level averages. This methodology improves accuracy and comparability across experience levels, geographic locations, and company sizes—resulting in more robust and actionable benchmarking insights.

What to Expect:
Once again, we’ve teamed up with Industry Insights to conduct this important survey. It may be completed as a PDF, an Excel file, or an online form. The online survey is designed with auto-summing and “save and return” functionality to allow users to easily return to their respective survey forms and view or modify their responses as needed. The survey closes on March 16th, and results are expected in late May.

Throughout the survey process, any questions regarding the survey instrument, how to complete the form, or the study in general can be made by email to comp@industryinsights.com or by phone to 614.389.2100. For additional details or to purchase the report, contact NAED’s Member Engagement Team.
