NAED Education & Research Foundation

About The Foundation

National Association of Electrical Distributors

In 1969, the NAED Education & Research Foundation was established to provide education, training, and research to lessen the pressure members face to innovate, embrace new technologies, and perform at a higher level.

The Foundation has become a valuable resource in helping advance careers, growing businesses, and shaping the future of the industry.

We’re proud of the resources we’ve developed that set up our members for success. To date, more than 42,000 people have benefited from the Foundation. This includes almost 12,000 EPEC graduates. Thousands more have gained key insights from the NAED PAR Report® or another benchmarking study. Many others have completed the Certified Electrical Professional (CEP) program or cultivated leadership experience by partnering with us to develop new tools for the industry.

The Impact of NAED Future Fund

In today's business environment, there is enormous pressure to innovate, embrace new technologies, and deliver a first-class customer experience.

"Never before has our industry needed your help in keeping up with technological change as well as changing demographics," said Michelle McNamara, NAED COO & NAED Foundation Executive Director. "The best way to thrive is to reinvest in your most important asset—your people. Your Foundation is committed to providing the most relevant content and information delivered in a way that’s easily digested."

This industry has counted on the NAED Education & Research Foundation to help navigate turbulent times like these. The NAED Foundation needs the solidarity of the entire industry to provide support for our research and education, to help better prepare for change.

This year, to celebrate the Foundation's 50th anniversary, we're asking for contributions that will go directly towards specific initiatives, new research, and applicable contents, including:

  • Building a Connected Business, NAED’s newest research project which helps distributors and manufacturers build a roadmap to flourish in the digital transformation era.
  • A focus on transforming and expanding our leadership development content with our new Leadership Development Program
  • Expanding digital offerings via a new NAED Learning Center platform with more accessible educational content

With your support, current and future leaders and their employees will be better prepared to navigate this new terrain. Please consider making a gift to the 2019-2020 Future Fund campaign in support of the channel.
